The Golden Era of capacity reporting was, without a doubt, its most glorious moment. The logic and models developed during the Age of Discovery came into full bloom during the Golden Era. Witnessing the birth of the National Association of Cost Accountants (NACA), the creation of the first managerially accepted accounting principles (MAAPs), and the application of value-based economic models to business, the Golden Era was truly a unique period in business history.
