Language betraying human beings book
This chapter talks about how language betrays human beings. The philosophy of language has developed from mistrust of language for undertaking philosophical tasks to the concentration on natural-language analysis. A paradox arises when a set of apparently incontrovertible premises leads to unacceptable or contradictory conclusions. Only when we have described, in an open and frank manner, the situations in which language betrays human beings can we approximate the truth of the last homestead of human beings. Harmful false information and beneficial false information share one thing in common: The hearer is in the dark about the falsity of the information. In this case, the release of harmful false information is one of the instances of language betraying human beings. In the world as it is, myths, literature, religion, and white lies will continue to entertain, please, and fascinate people, and lies and fallacies may as well continue to hoodwink and harm people.
