ABSTRACT

The Q&A in Chapter 7 focus on leaders who want to take the lead and be responsible as Ethical Marketers and communication role models. They know ethics and values are a part of their DNA not just some of the time, but all of the time. Of course, not everyone will be happy when a leader practices ethics and values, weighing different situations to benefit the most people involved, or based on your duty as a leader. However, your integrity will remain intact, and a valuable lesson can always be learned. If you are a leader, or you are aspiring to lead in your organization, then you are being watched closely. As you demonstrate your leadership skills, professionals around you, including your peers and subordinates, will take your lead adopting the vision you set forth and incorporating the values and ethics you display into their own practices. With this responsibility, there is no skimping or cutting of the ethical corners. You are either ethical or you are not. There is no middle of the road or an in between. If you call yourself a leader, then doing what is best for the people around you (all of them) has to come first. The leaders who want their people and their constituents to thrive are the professionals who lead with values of the heart and with ethics on their minds.
