ABSTRACT
This chapter reviews how a teacher’s spirituality informs her pedagogy. Ms. Escarfuller shares her definition of spirituality and how teacher training, religious faith, culture, education, and life experiences have shaped her definition of spirituality. She shares her spiritual beliefs and how these beliefs manifest and shape her classroom environment in a secular early childhood education setting, through the lens of the Montessori approach to pedagogy.
