ABSTRACT
As a conclusion, this chapter briefly re-traces the three case studies and also adds reflection on present-day contexts. Exploring why societies remember past state violence, the chapter invites a conversation about how these case studies can link to other national contexts. The final chapter discusses the research methodology applied and suggests its utility for examining other nation-building projects, reminding the reader that nation-building is always necessarily ongoing, everywhere.
