ABSTRACT

A photo can be made purely with ambient light, purely with added light, or with a mix of both. In the demonstration of making ceviche at the center, the lighting called for is easy to produce with studio lights which provide 100% control over the light in the scene. Non-photographic light sources exist all around us, serving a variety of purposes: for example, all household illumination, stadium lights, street lights, etc. Photographic light sources, on the other hand, are made for the distinct purpose of photographing. The main difference between the photographic and non-photographic lights is their strength: photographic lights are normally much brighter than their non-photographic counterparts. In most lighting studios, all light sources are in the photographer's control: there is no ambient light, as the studio is sealed off from sunlight and any other external lights and any non-photographic light sources are shut off while shooting.
