ABSTRACT
The materia medica of homeopathy comprises thousands of substances from plant, animal, mineral sources, or even the disease itself, which are diluted until virtually undetectable. Water is used to dilute the active ingredient multiple times until only the energetic signature or "memory'" of the original substance remains in the fluid; for the solid preparations, the key substance is ground with lactose. Russian practitioners of magical rituals often interpreted their actions and successes as changing the "bio-energy-information field of the patient". Constantly changing energy is the basic process that underlies life, human, animal, and vegetal. Common manifestations of energy are heat, light, kinetic, mechanical, electrical, thermal, atomic, nuclear, and potential energy. The transformations and effects of energy have been well documented scientifically, as has the fact that, at the smallest level, energy comes in discrete bundles. The science of physics states that energy behaves according to precise laws and principles.
