ABSTRACT
Kant’s view of politics seeks to advance a republican form of government in which each citizen is politically speaking the equal of each other. This chapter describes Kant’s contribution to political ethics, individual rights, and a vision for a universal international system of governance. For Kant, the only way for peace to exist is for every government to recognize and protect rights.
