ABSTRACT

Convenience dynamics in white-collar crime change over time in terms of historical evolution. The question here is whether white-collar crime has become more or less convenient over time. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss how convenience in white-collar crime is relevant to business history research, as the extent of convenience influences the magnitude of financial crime among privileged individuals in the course of their professions. Convenience is savings in time and efforts, as well as avoidance of strain and pain.
