ABSTRACT
Final remarks and thoughts on the development and history of federal bureaucracy in postwar are made in this chapter. In particular, this chapter summarizes the broader transformations of the U.S. civil service, the continuities and changes into the organization, the culture, and the relationship with the presidency.
