ABSTRACT

Threat has obtained a globalized status. There is not a place in the world where a terrorist attack cannot occur. Although terror attacks in a region can reach unbelievable proportions with an incredibly high number of casualties, in an industrial or corporate security context, a single loss is perceived as an unacceptable incident. There is a new trend regarding the nature of threat. In the recent past, one considered threats as individuals who willingly wanted to harm the facility, or harm the people working in the facility. Global security threats occur in the struggle for survival of the 193 member states of the United Nations assembly that populate the globe. The conviction that there is an internal threat is of such importance that it should be reported only to the highest authority, in private. The response to such possibility must be a top-down approach and should involve the organization’s management as well as government agencies.
