ABSTRACT

The research and considerations conducted in the monograph is to identify the impact of internal and external stakeholders on the implementation and effects of sustainable development policy in the coal mining sector. The geographical scope of research refers to the European states, as well as countries forming the Commonwealth of Independent States, in which this raw material is or has been extracted. In the case of students, the book can be used as inspiration for diploma theses in the field of management and economics of mining industries. The features that distinguish this study from available publications are: a unique research perspective that allows the analysis of sustainable development from the perspective of individual groups of stakeholders of mining enterprises, a wide subject and object scope of analyses and research, a two-tier research perspective covering statistical analyses, case studies and surveys, as well as expert interviews.
