ABSTRACT
Most leaders begin their serious leadership journey by role modelling; appreciating and copying someone else’s style. He did exactly that. He had been a teacher, a head of department, a teacher trainer, and the head of a service unit for fellow trainers. One kind of team activity which often works extremely well is team teaching. A model which indicates the basic characteristics might look like this: Three teachers who between them are form tutors for all the classes in a year group decide that they would like to work more closely together to deliver the curriculum. Not everyone is temperamentally disposed to work primarily in teams, but those who do make a number of claims for the experience.
