ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the implications and applications for the professional development of health providers in the Chinese context and recommends strategies for teaching health communication in the Chinese context. It includes examples of nurse handover training in Hong Kong (n = 600) with a course outline and syllabus with annotated notes to showcase good practices of health communication training. The chapter also sets out suggestions for policymaking and suggests further research directions.
