ABSTRACT

Drawing on the findings of the present study, this concluding chapter discusses their main implications for EMI stakeholders. It will thus look at how an awareness of students’ perceptions and experiences with EMI can become a boosting force for lecturers, as well as a driver for developing a long-term institutional strategy for quality EMI. In addition, the chapter will outline possible implications in terms of a transition from secondary to tertiary education. Finally, it will suggest areas of EMI that need further research from both a local and international perspective so as to gain a deeper understanding of the EMI phenomenon as seen and enacted by its students.
