When we originally designed the Blob Tree, in the early 1980s, it was as something that could be used with all people, focusing upon feelings. At that time, Pip was working with young people who struggled to express themselves, and so he conceived the idea of a visual solution – an image that could be pointed at to overcome the limitations of language or confidence.
