ABSTRACT

Humans are naturally observant beings. But how do we as neuropsychologists break down the components of behavior that we are most interested in capturing during psychological testing? Chapter 12 reviews a method for training psychometrists in how to note keen behavioral observations. Reviewing each domain of functioning, this chapter provides highlights and considerations for observation within each broad domain. While every neuropsychologist likely has a method or checklist that they prefer, this chapter reviews one option for discussing observational methods with psychometrist trainees.
