ABSTRACT

In Chapter 7, we will return to our main theme of strategic leadership of the organization as system and look both at the actions the strategic leader can take, and also the skills that this new role requires. We have argued that this form of leadership is different from traditional forms, and while we will have focused on leadership at the top of the organization, we will now also discuss the importance of leadership at all levels of the organization. How do we accomplish the latter? We will provide some unique ways that this can be accomplished.
