ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how to build a costume class from the beginning, including creating a syllabus, planning a class schedule, using online platforms, writing lectures, choosing textbooks, class material to cover for both costume design and costume rendering, considering student level when choosing class projects, using critiques and discussion boards, collages, research boards and online systems such as Pinterest, online teaching, and incorporating inclusive pedagogy and inclusion, diversity, and equity in the classroom. This chapter will give the reader the tools to build their class, for both design and rendering.
