ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how to create a Costume Rendering class, including class schedules for a variety of class levels. The chapter covers learning outcomes, class supplies, feedback, and grading, and goes over each topic in the proposed class schedule: pencil and charcoal, drawing from life, the human figure, watercolor, faces, hands and feet, drawing and painting fabric, and digital rendering. The chapter ends with an expanded project description that examines diversity from the lens of one of the scripts used in the class. The reader will have a framework to construct their own Costume Rendering class for their student body.
