ABSTRACT

Infiltration, in Soviet eyes, is a weapon forged with the specific, purpose of giving assistance to the Red Army in war. The function of the infiltrators is to obtain, in peace and war, secret official information calculated to be directly or indirectly useful to an enemy, and to communicate it to an enemy. The Soviet proxies in this case were Frenchmen who helped to defeat their own country. It would be utter hypocrisy to pretend that the Soviets, while prepared to assist their erstwhile friend Hitler in this way, would refuse to use this weapon in war time for their own purpose. The Communists abroad are directed by the Soviets in case of war to undermine morale in their national armies, to wage guerilla warfare against them, to promote civil war, and to sabotage the delivery of war materials.
