ABSTRACT

Many wildlife photographers have turned their photographic skills into earnings by writing in parallel for photography magazines about the equipment and techniques they use in their wildlife photography. While sport still has its high percentage of full-time professionals, wildlife and natural history photography the countryside being literally open to all is a more difficult area for a professional photographer to earn a living. Some wildlife photographers even make some of their income from product sponsorship and endorsement. Physical stamina - gaining access to some of the most interesting places on earth will be physically demanding. A number of educational establishments have recognised the unusual crossover of skills required from a natural history photographer and there is a growing number of courses available in this area. Some lean towards illustration and include both drawing and photography in their coverage..
