ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses production and pre-production of drums in a recording context. It presents an overview of the recording process along with the benefits of setting objectives and planning ahead. It also discusses drum recording spaces, particularly with respect to evaluating a potential performance space for optimising the recorded drum sound.
