ABSTRACT
This chapter gives an overview of room, overhead, and spot microphone recording techniques for acoustic drums. It discusses the stereo field and stereo microphone set-ups in detail, given a number of different strategies for recording drums that deliver the desired stereo spread of sounds on playback.
