ABSTRACT

In the last chapter of the book, discussions start with an acceptance that the coronavirus has changed everything we thought we knew about the future. The growing application of artificial intelligence/machine learning is highlighted, along with an introduction to the potential once we can access neural network technologies. Blockchain and Analytics 3.0 are also discussed. The chapter ends with a reminder that while these future-state technologies may be far off in the distance for many rights owners, they’re actually no longer future-state for many industries; they’re current state – and it all starts with the principles introduced at the beginning of this book. Not all of the ideas will work, and introducing advancements will require a great deal of appropriate testing and relevant data.

The case study looks at how the Los Angeles Kings use CRM and tables a key post-coronavirus challenge: how their data models will need to change to align with new behaviours as a result of the global pandemic.
