ABSTRACT
Thomas Kuhn remains a controversial figure 60 years after the publication of his seminal work, The Structure of Scientific Revolutions. This chapter considers the claim that Kuhn argued for the irrationality of theory change in science and argues that, so construed, his arguments and evidence fail to establish such a claim.
