ABSTRACT

The bathroom is where our fundamental design principle of lighting people first is most applicable, and well-designed lighting in the bathroom should be a top priority. When specifying light sources for the bathroom, color temperature, color rendering, and lumen output are all especially important. Knowing what each of these three qualities of light mean in application is essential for successful bathroom lighting. Also, pay attention to vanity lighting, as your face is the first thing you see when you get up in the morning. In addition to color temperature, color rendering, and light levels, luminaire location and controls are particularly crucial to a successful design.
