ABSTRACT

Florida Statutes provide for local governments to enter into development agreements with real estate developers for the provision of infrastructure to serve development. This chapter discusses requirements for development agreements, with a special focus on how to avoid contract zoning, a practice many states–including Florida–prohibit. This chapter includes the following case: Morgran Co., Inc. v. Orange Cnty.
