ABSTRACT
This chapter analyzes the energy security of Bangladesh by discussing the various aspects of the country’s energy sector. The current energy scenario together with the policies in the gas, oil, coal, renewables, biomass, LNG and LPG sectors are discussed in detail to understand the implementation challenges that the country is facing. The role of the state oil and gas companies and the IOCs in carrying out the exploration and exploitation of natural resources is also analyzed.
