ABSTRACT
The concluding chapter gives a brief overview of the energy scenario of the five countries in the region followed by a specific analysis on the energy security situation of Bangladesh. The ineffectiveness of SAARC, climate change, more aggressive role of China and a less assertive role of the US are all highlighted to understand how these factors affect the energy security scenario in the region. The final section analyzes the way forward for the countries in the region and what is required on their part to secure their energy security.
