ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an overview of the potential of renewable energy source integration into the energy system in Uzbekistan and explains the factors that are hindering their deployment. It provides a comparative analysis of the energy policies undertaken during former President Karimov’s and current President Mirziyoyev’s terms with detailed coverage of the opportunities and challenges of the most recent energy policy in the country.
