ABSTRACT
The final chapter considers the ethical implications of doing research on nationalist populism, and how such an endeavour may offer anthropologists and social scientists an opportunity to evaluate the limits, consequences and potential of our professional practice. It also considers the implications of my nationality for the research. Finally, I argue that anthropology is well suited to contribute to the critical and public debate on national populism, especially through its ethnographic expertise.
