ABSTRACT
The introduction offers an overview of the book, explaining how the authors will explore three processes—resilience, resistance, and transformation—as they relate to girls’ experiences in education. The chapter also provides a brief review of the methodology of the research studies that were conducted over a decade of time which inform the book, as well as an introduction of the authors.
