ABSTRACT

The struggle for freedom amid the lived-realities of diverse communities is explored here through the problem of thinking liberation in the form of re-imagining such thought in the pluralistic idea of liberations. This is done through a critical analysis of decolonial theory and a variety of concepts generated through such a project such as shifting the geography of reason, allegories of thought, philosophical anthropologies of racial, indigenous, gendered invisibility, a critique of moralism and privilege, and the complexity of existential political action. Posed against these are models of political commitment premised upon non-narcissistic forms of action and love.
