ABSTRACT
This chapter scrutinizes the political inclusion of the unemployed youth. This includes political attitudes such as political interest, efficacy, and trust as well as political participation in both institutional and extra-institutional forms. Drawing from a long-standing research tradition in political sociology, the chapter examines the relationship between unemployment status and political inclusion by focusing on the role of resources, psychological engagement with politics, and recruitment networks.
