ABSTRACT
This chapter is focused on a particular challenge to inference to the best explanation (IBE) originally discussed by Bas van Fraassen and Richard Fumerton. Essentially, the objection threatens IBE by arguing that there can be cases where IBE says that one should believe something that is clearly more likely to be false than true.
