ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the main organisational elements that constitute a social entrepreneurial organisation and key considerations to keep in mind when making choices about how to structure each of them that arise out of the desire of engaging in social entrepreneurship. The organisational elements covered in the chapter include: the legal form, governance structures, organisational structure, leadership styles, Human Resource Management, and organisational culture. The final section of the chapter also presents some reflections on what it means for a social entrepreneurial organisation to adopt an ethical approach.
