ABSTRACT
For many, it was non-existent and, for the rest, they still shudder at the thought as they relive the embarrassment of the ordeal in their heads. The Holy Mother banged a ruler on the table to get everyone’s attention, making the girls jump. It was unlocked and unpacked – the cabinet unfolded to create a canopy to prevent glare off the screen. In many ways children are growing up in a world that they do not recognize as the same one they grew up in. The vast majority of parents want to have conversations with their children about sex and relationships. Unfortunately, there is so much information in the media that highlights the dangers of mobile phones and the internet; it is understandable why many adults treat these things with suspicion and see them as a serious threat to childhood.
