This chapter is aimed in particular at Masters and research students who are interested in exploring empirical research methods such as interviews, surveys, or focus groups. The chapter gives an introduction to these different ways of conducting empirical research and how to build an empirical research project. It also focuses on research ethics, and gives practical guidance and tools to think through ethical issues in research.
