ABSTRACT
Schools must help students live and navigate in a 21st-century multipolar, multicultural world, not in an American-dominated one that existed in the last century. If we are to solve the problems that confront us today we will need to learn how to cooperate across cultural boundaries, to understand diverse perspectives and understand our individual as well as collective roles as responsible global citizens.
