ABSTRACT

A conversation about online harm, cyber trauma and the need for services to really develop an understanding about how this relates to children and young people seemed essential if we are to look for services to be fit for the way that we are living right now. One of my favorite go-to people around anything to do with the online world is Cath Knibbs. In addition, Cath is a psychotherapist and the director for a company called Privacy Four which is aimed at teaching professionals how to process personal data, particularly around therapy. The technology is now part of crime, and technology is part of every single interaction that we encounter in terms of everything that we now do as a society whether it's online banking, contacting your friend, it involves technology. So, right now I think there's an education to be given to the professions that educate children, to the professions that work with children.
