ABSTRACT

The author is passionate about social work and aims to find that passion in others and bring it to life. We are all human and have our own circumstances and we have to know this to some extent to build relationships, to find a common ground. It shows that by making that effort to build relationships engages people and people then react positively. In my role working in learning and development, whether with newly qualified social workers, students, or social workers who have been qualified for a long time, the author considers key restorative practice approaches to underpin my approach. The author have seen how this approach role models behaviors, attitudes and engagement which in turn widens the pool of those who want to be part of the new changes and encourages a positive organizational culture. We have adapted our way that families have time together for children in care.
