ABSTRACT
The final conversation in Part I is with Angela Hunt and Alison Kindred Byrne of the fostering agency To the Moon and Back. I wanted to have a conversation with Angela and Alison because this is a fostering agency with a difference and as you listen in, you will begin to understand why. It gets shortened now to 'Moon and Back' and then someone who has just recently joined our team, calls us To the Moon. We expect our foster carers and our team to feel strongly that they are prepared to go to the moon and back for the children in our care. It does not stop us having honest conversations, if anything it helps. Our aim is to enable others to take over the care of the service, but Moon and Back is our baby and at some point we have to accept that we've got to leave our baby with someone else one day.
