ABSTRACT

Having presented readers with various forms of resistance, this chapter draws from cases in previous chapters to highlight how we both knowingly and unknowingly contribute to the harms and crimes of the powerful, discussing the role we all play in the ongoing perpetuation and consumption that facilitates them. We suggest that, regretfully, few humans in the Global North are not complicit in the crimes of the powerful, if only because they consume products that are linked to human suffering or exploitation.
