ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the importance of listening to your intuition as a leader. With the hustle and bustle of leading a building filled with staff and students, it can become too easy to make decisions out of pure necessity and urgency rather than making decisions grown in purpose. Leaders who lead well are intentional with all they do, they trust their gut, and they always make decisions based on their personal mission and vision. Therefore, leaders must check their unconscious biases so they can begin to trust their gut, and to lead in a way that they are passionate, confident, and proud about from a visceral level.
