ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses how a school leader must have both high expectations and high supports. As leaders, we want to support staff members with every ounce of who we are. We want our staff to be the best they can be. But we must always remember that in order to support staff we need high expectations paired with high supports. Just like students, staff members respect and appreciate a leader that cares about them and will do anything in their power to support them, while having clear boundaries of what to expect. You can do both while still building connection points with staff.
