ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses how important a calm present is in leadership. Each day of leadership can present waves of uncharted territories. We cannot predict the future and we cannot control everything as a leader. But we can be the quiet confidence that our school needs, the calm in the storm. Leaders lead by example by putting people around them at ease, rather than in a state of dysregulation and confusion. Calmness breeds culture and community.
