ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 goes into the heart of this book and examines Korea's response to COVID-19, focusing mainly on the actors, policies, and technologies involved. The actors involved are overviewed by reflecting on the role of the central government, civil society, and local government. This chapter also comprehensively evaluates the transparency and risk communication through information-sharing, the ICT used, the public–private collaboration in COVID-19 test and treatment, the social distancing policies and citizen's compliance, and the fiscal policy.
