ABSTRACT

Rural construction contractor teams became popular around 2005, and the author will devote this chapter to it as a representative of the rural nonfarm industries. The goal is to establish a system that is both rigid and flexible, where the initiative of the individual is given more room, and the individual and the society act as independent entities in the mutual construction. With the waves of migration, rurality continues to face the challenges of transplantation, deconstruction, and reconstruction. During the rapid transformation of life in the village, rural society has suffered fragmentation, atomization, and the breakdown of the community-all phenomena antithetical to the goal of building a beautiful countryside. Various parties need to work together to build a mechanism for the reconstruction of rurality. Rurality reconstruction in Nancun is the obligation of any individual or government department. Rurality reconstruction in Nancun needs the participation of social organizations, like an elder's association.
