ABSTRACT
In the image of Mount Olympus, which lodged the most powerfull but also the most mysterious ancient gods, the skull contains structures which have remained mythological for a long time. It is therefore not surprising to recognize in neuronatomical terminology some metaphors which evoke comparisons between the gods and the brain, such as the Ammon’s horn, the lyra Davidis, the cornucopia and the nucleus endymalis.
